The Sierra Leone national women’s U-20 football team has booked a ticket to the preliminary stage of the African qualifiers for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup final in France following the withdrawal of the their Libyan opponents.
The Libyans could not show up even at home when the Sierra Leoneans came calling last weekend hence the match officials had to conduct the walk-over formalities and awarded the match to Sierra Leone.
But Kenya’s U-20 national women’s team that went goal crazy last weekend by hammering their Botswana opponents 7-1 in the first leg of the play-off will be at home this weekend to complete the demolition the Southern Africa country.
Also, Burundi which walloped Djibouti 6-0 at Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium, Bujumbura will consolidate in the victory when they travel to Djibouti this weekend.
Nigeria’s U-20 national women’s team, Falconets that are expected to hit the camp next week will play against Tanzania in the weekend of September 15 to 17, 2017.
