Nigeria’s Flamingos will resume camping on Sunday ahead of their final qualifying round clash against Benin Republic for a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Prompt News Online reports.
The team, led by head coach Akeem Busari had been on a short break following their dominant performance against Guinea in the previous round.
The players are expected to reconvene at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne to begin preparations for the crucial two-legged encounter.
The Flamingos cruised past Guinea with an emphatic 11-0 aggregate victory, winning the first leg 5-0 before recording a 6-0 triumph in the return fixture.
Benin Republic’s Young Amazons secured their spot in the final qualifying round after defeating Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate.
Nigeria will host the first leg at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Saturday, July 5, while the return leg is scheduled for a week later at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé, Togo.
The winner on aggregate will earn a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be staged in Morocco from October 17 to November 7, 2026
