Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong is set to join Serie A club, Salernitana on loan for the remainder of the season, Prompt News reports.
Salernitana have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
William Troost-Ekong had a stint at Serie A club, Udinese between 2018 and 2020 in the past.
The Nigerian international enjoyed a fine start to his time at Watford helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League.
The centre-back has however been in and out of the team for the past two seasons.
The 29-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Hornets in the Sky Bet Championship this term with a goal to his name.
