William Troost-Ekong is confident the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations despite being drawn in a tricky qualifying group, Prompt News Online reports.
Nigeria were drawn in Group L alongside Madagascar, co-hosts Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau.
Troost-Ekong admitted the teams in the group cannot be underrated, but expressed belief that the Super Eagles have enough quality to secure qualification.
“It is not an easy group, but I trust them to get over the line,” the former Super Eagles captain told CAFonline.
The three-time African champions will begin their qualifying campaign with a home game against Madagascar’s Barea in September.
Éric Chelle’s side finished third at the last edition of the AFCON held in Morocco.
