Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa has addressed a rumour flying around recently that she got married to longtime lover, Farouk Umar.
The rumors began after clips from her recent birthday thanksgiving service surfaced online, showing the pair dressed in matching white outfits.
Many fans and followers quickly assumed the gathering was a secret wedding, leading to a flurry of congratulatory messages.
In response, Toke Makinwa posted a video from the event on her social media, clarifying that it was simply a thanksgiving service to mark her birthday, not a wedding, as speculated.
The media personality captioned the video, “Thanksgiving service,” putting the rumors to rest.
Previously, she reflected on a prophecy from years ago, stating, “Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard what God is about to do” in her life.
Toke expressed uncertainty about her path at the time but now sees its fulfillment. “Today I testify of His goodness… Happy TM Thanksgiving Day… Counting down to my birthday,” she said without mentioning of any engagement or marriage to Farouk Umar.
Toke Makinwa turns 40 on 3rd of November, 2024.
