ABUJA – By Olusegun Lawrence Senator Dino Melaye Thursday took a swipe at a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying he cannot end his political career.
Melaye, who chairs the juicy Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said Mr. Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, begged him to withdraw support for the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, but he refused.
“Bola Tinubu and his wife have begged me to back down my support for Saraki which I refused.
“There has been a lot of misinformation in the media. Tinubu is no God,” he said.
Senator Melaye admitted that the issue of forgery suit against Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu was discussed at the closed door session on Tuesday.
He said he canvassed that the Senate should ask those involved in the filling of the suit to withdrawal or else be suspended.
On the reported altercation between her and Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Melaye said she tongue-lashed her because she called him “thug and dog” during the closed door session.
He however debunked media report that he said he would impregnate her.
According to him, “It is not biologically correct for me to impregnate her because she has attained Menopause” .
