The Tinubu Faithful Group (TFG) was on Thursday inaugurated in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, by the National Coordinator, Hon Olusola Orelaja.
The political group previously loyal to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, had since declared support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu after the ruling party’s presidential primaries.
Speaking at the event which attracted many party loyalists from across the FCT, Orelaja said, “it is an important day for our support group; a major milestone in our drive to back our desired principal become the next President of Nigeria”.
The National Coordinator noted that one of its key priorities “is for us to build a structure committed to helping The Faithful Group become bigger, better nationwide, using this to build a strong movement for the City Boy”.
He commended the TGF National and State Executives for their sleepless nights efforts, time and financial support, assuring that, ” I just want you to know that your commitment to TGF and your willingness to step up and do what needs to be done – even if it falls outside your role – doesn’t go unnoticed”.
The National Coordinator specifically commended the FCT Coordinator, Comrade Fred Idehai, his Deputy, Dr Temi Gold and TGF National Woman Leader, Mrs Abiola Suleiman for their strong support for the Group.
“To the TFG Abuja Coordinator and its executives, Thank you for your hard work. Thanks for your contribution today, You really want above and beyond. Collectively, we will continue our efforts to support our principal to build a renewed hope for all Nigerians”, he added.
In his remarks, the FCT Coordinator, Fred Idehai said the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been ordained by God to take Nigeria to the Promised Land, adding that the same man who fixed Lagos State when he was Governor and founded Alliance for Democracy (AD) “is still relevant in Nigerian politics”.
