The period is tough when the bread winner cannot help himself.
When everyone, as it were, appear like Rice then there is a problem!!! You are aware that Rice are of or near equal in length and diameter; therefore it appears none can support the other.
At the moment, it is a question of individual survival, because even the rich, wealthy, movers and shakers of society cannot help themselves, the Rich are really crying and the poor mimic the cry! I pray that Allah shower His Mercy and blessings on us as a Nation, Amin.
It is important to realize that as challenging as this part of the world is, the solution to our challenge is simple. Recognize the Almighty God as God, not image or imaginary object, after that obey the Laws as prescribed by Him. Paying lip service to faith is deceit.
The world is not a place of permanence:
There is no one, Family, Community or Nation on the face of the earth that has no challenge. All you need is honesty and sincerity of purpose trusting in Allah for your seeming challenges to be solved and looking forward for other challenges to solve.
As you read this:
Some are in search of employment, Some have job but the take-home-pay cannot take him home. Some are going bankrupt this minute. While others are starting small or large scale business this minute, some have health related issues, some is spousal while some wants to have a child to smile at. While some are either hoping for a male or female child having gotten males or females as the case may be. Not minding the fact that your need in this regard is met, you either want to be counsellor, chairman, Governor, Minister, Senator, Rep, President, you might even have attained the highest political position, you might want to go to the United Nation. As you are engaging in this rat-race, you come back home to see that you or your spouse have cancer of the breast, cervical, scrotal cancer , diabetics, stroke, etc. the reality is that while the poor are looking at the rich due to the surplus wealth, the the rich is also envious of the poor for the amount of surplus time at his disposal that is in-exhaustive! While some are being born into the world, some are departing the world. There lies the Glory of God Almighty, Allah s.w.t whom Neither sleep nor slumber overtaketh!
The mystery of Whatever is Surplus?
In life the ordinary man most likely going to waste whatever is surplus. If the the wealthy has surplus fund, is it a surprise that it is wasted on partying, smoking, drinks, and things like that.
The poor had surplus time, he knows not what to do with it, he waste it in gossips, complaints upon complains, etc.
The complaint mostly come when you do not know what to do with what you have been endowed with by Allah (s.w.t), anything that comes from God is always in surplus: water, sun, rain, air, it is always available for your use.
Today, we shall take a look into a situation where challenges are faced and what should be the attitude of you as a Muslim.
What you should remember When the going gets tough:
2:214. Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, “When (will come) the Help of Allah?” Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!
This is a reminder to both powerful and powerless
Affliction is not restricted to a particular race or tribe
If something affects your enemy and you say God done catch am
Who is the one that will catch you if not God
Every human being is vulnerable and that is why he is a weak person
Not minding the status you have attained in terms of power or wealth
You are still vulnerable
The purpose or use of wealth:
2:177. “It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allah, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masakin (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and to set slaves free, performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and gives the Zakat, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.) in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Such are the people of the truth and they are AlMuttaqoon”.
How do you survive tough time:
215. They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) what they should spend. Say: Whatever you spend of good must be for parents and kindred and orphans and AlMasakin (the poor) and the wayfarers, and whatever you do of good deeds, truly, Allah knows it well.
This is the template for economic revival
Spend for parents: Plan for the elderly and retiree
Kindred and : consider the larger society in your plans
Orphans and : schools, health facility for the weak
AlMasakin (the poor) and : what affects orphans also affects the poor
The wayfarers, and : social facility
Whatever you do of good deeds, truly, Allah knows it well: as you lay your bed so you lie However, no matter what you do you must be aware that:
The Ultimate result reside with Allah! In this regard, you are advised to –
2:153. “O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer). Truly! Allah is with As- Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)”.
You have been given a hint:
Approach Allah with a humble spirit if you are a believer
The challenge of the one that consider himself self sufficient is this:
He becomes arrogant and he starts looking for perfection when he is not
He takes to drug or belongs to cult or gang
He does anything and everything to make it
When it did not work out he either commit suicide or develop HBP
