A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Dr Abiola Oshodi, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the victory recorded at the Supreme Court on the Feb. 25 presidential election.
Oshodi, the Vice Chairman of the APC in Canada, in his congratulatory message, described the victory as deserving.
“On behalf of myself and the political family of Patriots of Bola Ahmed Tinubu,POBAT, I congratulate our President and Commander in chief of the Armed Forces, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu on the affirmation of his election by the Supreme Court of Nigeria in a unanimous judgement.
“This is a victory for Nigeria and for democracy – Mr President,you were elected by the majority of Nigerians to steer the affairs of this country through your Renewed Hope Agenda and since you were elected,you have been taking bold decisions to the admiration of both Nigerians and even non-Nigerians.
“This unanimous decision of the Supreme Court Justices is a clear demonstration that you won fair and square and my appeal to all and sundry is that we put an end to litigation and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he charts the renewed hope agenda that we all believe will take Nigeria to a new level of economic and political advancement,” he said.
The APC chieftain, who is a Canada-based consultant psychiatrist, said that by voting for President Tinubu, Nigerians had demonstrated their collective confidence that he is the right person for the job,his antecedents as the former governor of Lagos State, Nigeria’s richest state and the enviable heights attained by state during his eight years tenure showed that he has the wherewithal to steer the Nigerian state successfully. According to him, it is the time to put politics aside, asking all hands to be on the deck and join the President as he moves Nigeria forward, saying he did it before in Lagos and he would do it for Nigeria.
He, therefore, prayed for success of the president.
“Congratulations again Mr President,you will succeed and the Lord will work with you,” he prayed.
