The Supreme Court has struck out an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar.
This is coming ahead of its final address before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The apex court struck out the appeal filed against a ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), CHANNELS TELEVISION reports.
The PEPC in its ruling held that the Atiku and the PDP do not have a reply to an application filed on May 14, 2019, by the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking among others reliefs, the dismissal of their (Atiku and the PDP) petition challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the 2019 presidential election.
Ruling on the appeal, a five-man panel led by Justice Datijo Mohammed, struck out the appeal for having become statute-barred.
