Premier League club Nottingham Forest are hopeful of securing Ola Aina to a new long-term contract.
Prompt News reports that Aina has been a consistent performer for the Tricky Trees since his arrival at the club.
The 28-year-old was set to be out of contract at the end of this season, which would have meant him leaving as a free agent.
According to The Athletic, he is now nearing a new deal and a bumper pay rise with Forest.
The full-back could have even negotiated with other teams outside England in January, but will likely renew before then.
Forest triggered the one-year option in his contract before the start of the current season.
The Nigeria international has scored twice in 34 league appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side since his arrival at the club.
