African champions Super Falcons of Nigeria will embark on a training tour of the United Kingdom later this month as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News reports.
According to Savid News, the 10-time African champions will hold a training camp from May 23 to 28, and are expected to play one friendly match during the exercise.
Head coach Justine Madugu is expected to use the camp to assess a number of new players, with several key stars likely to miss out due to club commitments.
The Super Falcons had initially been scheduled to face Cape Verde in a double-header friendly at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne last month.
However, the matches were cancelled after Cape Verde informed the Nigeria Football Federation that they would no longer honour the fixtures.
Madugu’s side are also expected to play additional friendly matches during the next FIFA international window slated for June 7 to 14.
