Confident Super Falcons have packed their light luggages to leave Brisbane for a short trip to Melbourne ahead of their opening match against reigning Olympic champions, Canada billed for the 28,870 capacity Melbourne Rectangular Stadium at 12:30 pm local time and 3:30 am in Nigeria.
Prompt News exclusively gathered that Super Falcons will depart their Sofitel Hotel Central in Brisbane early tomorrow (Thursday) for a short flight to Melbourne and will nestle at Mariot Hotel, Avenger Pack, Malbourne.
All 23 players, coaching crew, backroom staff will be on the plane to Melbourne just as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) top officials who have arrived Australia to support the team will also travel to Melbourne to watch the crucial encounter.
The Nigerian contingent will return to Sofitel Hotel Central, Brisbane immediately after the match against Canada in Melbourne as they will play their remaining Group B matches against Australia and Republic of Ireland in Queensland.
Nigeria’s second game against Australia is slated Thursday, July 27 at 20:00 pm local time (11:00 am in Nigeria) at the 56,851-capacity Brisbane Stadium while last group natch will be at the same stadium against the Republic of Ireland on Monday, July 31 at 20:00 pm local time (11:00 am in Nigeria).
