FIFA council member, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has revealed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will soon appoint a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles.
The NFF has been criticised for delaying the appointment of permanent coach for the three-time African champions.
The soccer house announced it will bring in an expatriate to tinker the team last year following.
It’s technical director, Augustine Eguavoen guided the team to 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
Pinnick said the NFF have finalised the appointment and will soon make the name public.
“Any moment from now, I am sure they would be announcing a coach, an enterprising coach at that,” Pinnick said in an interview on Channels Television.
The Super Eagles next assignment is a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
