The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved up to 38th position in the latest ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, Prompt News reports.
The three-time African champions were ranked in 41st position in October.
Eric Chelle’s side however maintained fifth position in Africa.
Atlas Lions of Morocco, Terangha Lions of Senegal, Pharaohs of Egypt and Desert Foxes of Algeria occupy the top four positions in Africa.
The Super Eagles were in action twice in November.
The West Africans defeated Panthers of Gabon 4-1, and lost 4-3 on penalities to Leopards of Democratic Republic of Congo.
Spain maintained top position on the ranking ahead of Argentina, France, and England.

Brazil moved up two spots to fifth, overtaking both the Netherlands and Portugal. Portugal slipped to sixth, the Netherlands to seventh, Belgium remained eighth, while Germany and Croatia completed the top 10.
