Super Eagles defender, Olisa Ndah has been ruled of action for the remainder of 2024.
Ndah sustained an injury in Orlando Pirates‘ 3-0 home win against Polokwane City last month.
The injury forced the centre-back to miss Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Libya.
Orlando Pirates released a statement on Ndah’s injury on Wednesday.
“Orlando Pirates will play host to newly promoted club Magesi FC at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday in their Carling Black Label Cup opener.
“Unfortunately, the Buccaneers will be without key defender Olisa Ndah, who faces an extended period on the sidelines,” the club said.
“The Nigerian international who missed out on playing the MTN8 final after suffering an injury in the league match against Polokwane City, is expected to be out on the sidelines for a lengthy spell.
“The Bucs medical department has confirmed that the 26 year old has suffered a tibia fracture.
“Due to the location and nature of the injury; the decision on surgery is not straightforward but based on this type of injury, Ndah has been ruled out for the rest of the year.”
