Nigeria international, Stanley Nwabali has announced the death of his father, Prompt News reports.
Nwabali made the announcement in a heartfelt message on Instagram.
“Rest in peace, dad,” he wrote with a tearful emoji.
The Chippa United shot stopper was in goal in Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday five encounter against Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles held their hosts to a 1-1 draw at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
The West Africans will entertain Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo next week Monday.
