The Super Eagles dropped one place in the latest ranking released by world soccer governing body, FIFA on Thursday.
The three-time African champions were ranked 34th last month and have now dropped to 35th position in October.
Gernot Rohr’s charges were held to a 1-1 by five-time world champions Brazil in their only outing in the month.
The Super Eagles however maintained third position in Africa, behind the Teranga Lions of Senegal and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
Benin Republic and Lesotho, their next two opponents in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are ranked in 82nd and 138th positions respectively.
Nigeria will host Benin at home on November 14th and travel away to Maseru five days later for the game against Lesotho.
The next FIFA rakings will be released on November 28.
