Sporting Lagos have sealed promotion to the Nigeria Premier League for the 2023/24 season.
Sporting, created one year ago defeated Abeokuta Stormers 2-0 in the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs encounter at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Monday night.
Ayemwenre Rico gave his side the lead on 55 minutes.
Saturday Okon doubled the advantage two minutes from time.
It was Paul Offor’s side second win in the playoffs which guaranteed their promotion to the NPL.
Kano Pillars and Heartland are also close to securing a berth in the Nigerian top-flight.
The two clubs need a point from their next games to join Sporting Lagos in the NPL.
