The leadership crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, took a new dimension on Monday as soldiers and riot policemen took over the federation headquarters popularly called ‘Glass House’.
It was gathered that staff of the NFF were turned back while the security guard in charge of the building have been sent away.
The complex houses the NFF and the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC but only the personnel of the latter are being allowed in after proper identification.
Prompt News Online recalls that the Federal High Court in Jos, Plateau State, had sustained the 2014 ruling of Justice Ambrose Allagoa, which declared the Warri Congress that produced the Amaju Pinnick-led board illegal.
Sequel to Friday ruling, the Chris Giwa-led faction of the NFF had on Sunday announced the appointment of a new acting General Secretary and heads of departments.
The board also said it would take over the NFF Glass House today (Monday).
As at the time of filling this report, it is not clear who deployed the soldiers and police.
However, it was gathered that it was to prevent the breakdown of law and order.
