The Sokoto State Government will soon commence the construction of a new High Court Complex as part of efforts to provide a conducive working environment for judges and other auxiliary workers in the judiciary.
Gov. Aminu Tambuwal announced this on Tuesday in Sokoto at the swearing in of the state ’s acting Chief Judge, Justice Sa’idu Sifawa.
Tambuwal also said that newly approved area courts would be provided with structures in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
He further explained that magistrates would soon begin to enjoy car loans under a programme billed to begin before the end of the month.
The governor commended the cordial working relationship existing between the three arms of government in the state.
While congratulating the acting Chief Judge, Tambuwal urged him to work by the oath of his office by administering justice to all categories of people.
According to him, the appointment of the acting Chief Judge followed the retirement of the former Chief Judge, Justice Bello Abbas.
