Sevilla have  confirmed Chidera Ejuke will be sidelined for around  10 days as a result of thigh injury, Prompt News reports.

The Nigeria international sustained the injury in training this week.

Ejuke missed  the Rojiblancos’ friendly against Olympic Marseille due to the setback.

The 27-year-old will hope to recover in time for the start of new season.

It would be recalled that Ejuke was sidelined for around four months last season due to a ligament injury.

Ejuke scored twice,  and provided one assist in 25 league appearances for Sevilla last season.

He joined the Spanish club on a free transfer last summer.
