Apparently to seek for a presidential blessing to pursue his political ambition, a Presidential aspirant Senator Rochas Ethelbert Anayo Okorocha on Thursday paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at State House, Abuja.
Senator Okorocha who addressed State House Correspondents after the closed door meeting with the President revealed that he was in the Villa to brief the President on his ambition and to discuss issues relating to their party All Progressive Congress (APC).
The former governor also used the opportunity of the visit to inform Mr President about his ordeal in the hands of the EFCC, begging him to intervene.
According to him: “I came to the Villa to brief President Muhammadu Buhari who is my President and also the leader of our party APC.
” I felt it is the right thing to do by coming to inform the President officially of my ambition to succeed him in 2023″.
“I told Mr. President that I want level playing field for all aspirants during the party primary to select APC Presidential Candidate.
“Also, I told Mr. President about my ordeal in the hands of the EFCC, that I have Court judgements and Orders against EFCC but it has refused to obey them.
“Mr. President has assured he will look into my complaints to see what the problems are”, Okorocha stated.
The former Governor of Imo state also said that he came to discuss issues relating to APC as a party and to profer solution on how to reposition the party going forward, adding that he reminded the President how APC was formed.
Said he: ” I Seized the opportunity to remind President Buhari how we formed APC; that it was the coming together of Muhammadu Buhari’s CPC, Ahmed Tinubu’s ACN, Rochas Okorocha’s APGA and Ogbonnaya Onu’s ANPP that formed APC.
