French club, RC Lens, have announced the signing of former Golden Eaglets star Hamzat Ojediran.
Ojediran moved to the Ligue 1 outfit from Hungarian top-flight club Debrecen.
The 20-year-old signed a four-year contract with his new club.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Hamzat Ojediran for the next four seasons. A revelation in the Hungarian championship in 2023/24, Hamzat is a true force of nature,” General Manager Pierre Dreossi told the club’s official website.
“An explosive and athletic midfielder, he is an aggressive ball-winner in the good sense of the word. His determination and commitment on the pitch correspond exactly to what is expected of an RC Lens player.
“The recruitment of Hamzat is part of the club’s policy of also focusing on emerging players with interesting potential.”
The defensive midfielder was a member of the Golden Eaglets side to the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
He featured in all of Nigeria’s four games at the competition, PNO Sports reports.
