Wilfred Ndidi has warned the Super Eagles can’t afford to miss out on place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ndidi and his teammates missed out on a place at the last mundial after losing to perennial rivals Ghana in the playoff.
The Super Eagles will slug it out with South Africa, Benin Republic Rwanda, Lesotho and Zimbabwe for a place in 2026 World Cup finals which will be jointly hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.
Jose Peseiro’s men defeated Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Uyo on Sunday.
Ndidi reckoned the win will boost the team’s morale ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.
“This win (against Sao Tome and Principe) is a good one for us. It will serve as a morale booster ahead of the World Cup qualifiers,”Ndidi told reporters. READ ALSO:
