The Presidency appears now to be interested in the affairs of the Glass House after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup billed for Qatar.
A top source within the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that they have received a letter, almost sort of a query, from the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development (FMYSD) to provide an explanation for the failure.
In a letter addressed to the managers of the Football house, the ministry also invited NFF leadership led by Amaju Pinnick for an emergency meeting on Monday.
The Super Eagles crashed out of the race to the mundial on the away goal rule to neighbours Ghana.
They had drawn 0-0 in Kumasi and 1-1 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
