President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick has announced that the just crowned African Champions Super Falcons will be busy from next week when the Presidency, Lagos State and big corporate Nigerians will play hosts to the team.
Pinnick who paid a visit to the Champions Monday evening at their transit lodge in Gwarimpa, Abuja in the company of the NFF General Secretary/ CEO, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi and Head of Women’s Football, Miss Ruth David, informed the team that there are many receptions planned for them including those being arranged by Lagos State Government, some prominent Nigerians and Sponsorship partners of NFF.
But the 1st Vice President of CAF stated that as a matter of respect all other receptions will have to wait until the President of the Federal Republc Nigeria, H. E President Mohammadu Buhari welcomes the African Champions.
According to him the Super Falcons will be busy next week when the planned receptions will commence, adding that the players and officials will be informed of the itinerary of the team.
He also promised the team that they have no problems as their welfare is a top priority for the NFF even as the players and officials testifying that they have been taken care of the Federation.
Responding on behalf of the players, the two captains- Rita Chikwelu and Onome Ebi applaudedthe NFF President, his board and secretariat for providing the needs of the team which made victory in Ghana very possible.
Also speaking on behalf of the backroom staff, Mrs Taiwo Obawa, the Equipment Officer, thanked Pinnick and Sanusi for ensuring that the needs of the team were met to ensure that Nigeria became Victorious in Ghana amidst tears of joy to the excitement of everyone in the hall.
