Taiwo Awoniyi scored on his 26th birthday as Nottingham Forest fell to a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal in their opening fixture of the season at the Emirates Stadium.
Awoniyi was only included in the matchday squad after passing a late fitness test.
The forward was introduced in the place of Danillo in the 72nd minute.
The Nigeria international slotted home from inside the box after he set up by fellow substitute Anthony Elanga.
Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka were the goal scorers for Arsenal in the game.
Awoniyi’s international teammate, Ola Aina started the game and was replaced by Neco Williams 18 minutes from time.
