The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspected kidnapper, John Chinagorom, who had been on its wanted list in connection with a kidnapping case reported in April.
Police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed in a statement on Saturday that Chinagorom was apprehended in Zaria, Kaduna State, following a joint operation between the Anambra and Kaduna State Police Commands.
Ikenga said the arrest was made after operatives of the Ozubulu Police Division received credible intelligence on August 1 indicating the suspect’s presence at PZ Park Road in Zaria.
“The Anambra State Police Command, with support from the Kaduna State Police Command, has arrested one John Chinagorom, male, a suspected kidnapper who has been on the Command’s wanted list,” the statement read.
