Jose Peseiro is the favourites for the Kuwaiti national team coaching job, according to Arab News.
The former Super Eagles head coach is the only candidate considered for the job by the Kuwait Football Association, according to the publication.
The Kuwait national team are in Group B with South Korea, Oman, Iraq, Palestine, and Jordan in the final round of the qualifiers for 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The KFA want Peseiro to steer the Blue Wave in the qualifying campaign.
The Portuguese left his role as Super Eagles head coach at the end of February.
The 63-year-old has been linked with a return to the post.
