Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum was full of praises for his players after they secured qualification to the 2024 Olympic Games.
The former African champions booked their spot at the Olympics at the expense of Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
The Super Falcons won the fourth-round qualifying tie 1-0 on aggregate.
They put up a resolute display to keep their hosts at bay in the second leg at the Lotfus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria on Tuesday night.
Waldrum praised the players for their spirited display in the keenly contested encounter.
“The team did everything we asked of them to get the result,” Waldrum said after the game.
“We knew South Africa will come at us, we respect them but this was our seventh or eighth clean sheet, we have been very good defensively
“With time and some proper work, we will also be better on the offensive side, which everyone is asking for.”
