Asisat Oshoala, who plays for Bay FC, claimed the Super Falcons were solid in their Group C encounter against Spain at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Super Falcons put up a resolute display in the encounter despite going down to a 1-0 defeat.
The result would have been different had the Super Falcons converted the chances they created the game.
Oshoala, who expressed satisfaction with his side’s performance in the game, stated that they must work on their finishing.
“All I can say is I am proud of our performance. I think we played good. We played against the world champions and we had our chances, we had opportunities to score Spain, the Bay FC striker said after the game.
“I think the same thing happened to us in the first game. We were not clinical upfront. I think if we start scoring goals we can compete with any team in the world.”
