Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has missed out on winning a medal in the men’s shot put at the 2024 Olympic Games, PNO Sports reports.
Enekwechi finished fifth with a throw of 21.42m in the final.
USA’s Ryan Crouser won the gold medal with a throw of 22.90m.
His compatriot Joe Kovacs won silver with a throw of 22.15m, while Jamaica’s Rajindra Campbell came third with a throw 22.15m.
Another Nigerian Rosemary Chukwuma failed advance into the final of the women’s 100m.
Chukwuma finished last in the second semi-final of the women’s 100m.
She started the race very well but faltered at the final stretch.
St Lucia’s Julien Alfred won the race running a staggering 10.84s.
Sha’Carri Richardson of United States of America finished second with the automatic spot in a time of 10.89s.
