Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has cast his ballot in Saturday’s governorship election.
Adeleke voted at Ward 02, Polling Unit 009, Abogunde Compound, in Ede North Local Government Area, his home constituency.
The governor arrived at the polling centre as voters turned out to participate in the election amid tight security arrangements across the state.
His participation in the exercise marked a significant moment in his bid to secure another term in office.
Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party, having emerged as one of the major contenders in the closely watched poll.
The governor is facing the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, and other candidates in the election.
The election is being conducted across the state under heightened security, with security agencies deploying personnel to polling centres and other strategic locations to maintain order.
The outcome of the election will determine whether Adeleke retains the governorship of Osun State for another term or hands over to one of his challengers.:::
