Victor Osimhen netted once as Napoli beat Apollon Limassol of Greece 2-0 in a pre-season friendly at the Castel di Sangro training ground on Friday night.
The 24-year-old picked a minor ankle injury in training this week but shrugged off the setback to start tye game.
Matihas Olivera set up Osimhen for thrn opener on the hour mark.
Giovanni Simeone avoided the offside trap to meet a Juan Jesus ball over the top to double the Partenopei’s lead 19 minutes from time.
New signing Jens Cajuste made his debut for Napoli and almost created a third goal in stoppages, but Alessio Zerbin’s header was cleared off the line.
