Napoli manager Luciano Spalleti is hopeful Victor Osimhen will be fit for his side’s home clash against Hellas Verona this weekend.
Osimhen missed Sunday’s 1-0 away win against Salernitana at the Arechi Stadium due to the setback.
The Blues maintained their unbeaten run in Serie A this season with Piotr Zielinski scoring the decisive goal in the second half.
The 22-year-old is expected to miss Wednesday’s Europa League away trip to Legia Warsaw but could be available for the home clash against Verona at the Diego Armando Maradona.
“It remains to be seen if he [Osimhen] has to stay out for a couple of games,” Spalletti told the media after the game as quoted by Tutto Napoli.
“For Sunday he can also do it, we have a lot of trust in our doctors.”
He has scored nine goals in 12 games across all competitions for Napoli this season.
