The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council, has congratulated a federal lawmaker, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo ‘BTO’, on his nomination as minister-designate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Hon. Tunji-Ojo, the lawmaker representing Akoko Northeast/Northwest Federal Constituency at the National Assembly is one of the ministerial nominees due for screening by the Senate.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Leke Adegbite and Secretary, Olaoluwa Meshack, NUJ noted that
Tunji-Ojo’s impactful projects in his federal constituency in the last four years earned him the new elevation.
“We are more convinced that he will do well as a Minister considering the fact that he bagged the Ondo NUJ Award of the Best Performing Federal Lawmaker from Ondo State two years ago”.
“NUJ Ondo State Council expresses confident in the ability of the Minister-designate to make a difference by bringing to the State the much desired dividends of democracy from the federal level, judging by his excellent performances at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.”
Similarly, the Council also congratulated one of its Life Patrons, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, on his recent appointment as the Substantive Chairman of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL) and Second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
The statement added that “Hon. Elegbeleye remains the first indigene of Ondo State to attain the two key revered positions in the history of Nigerian football” READ ALSO:
