The Ondo State Government said it would ensure more jobs are created for the youths in the state this year.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Bamidele Ologunloluwa, stated this in his New Year message made available to newsmen on Sunday in Akure.
Ologunloluwa said that 2023 would witness a rapid transformation in his ministry for youth development.
The commissioner said that Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu-led administration prioritised youth development as a means of building a virile state.
He said various projects that the governor had approved would soon commence, especially community sports, as well as youth empowerment that would ensure job creation and more engagement of the youths.
“Youths should always be focused and be supported to achieve their aims and aspirations within the legal framework of the society.
“I pray for an injury free year among the state sports men and women.
“I will urge youths to avoid being used as political thugs to disrupt electioneering process,” he said.
He appreciated the governor for working hard to make the state habitable for residents by investing in security.
Ololgunloluwa solicited for more synergy between government and the youths to bring total change and make the youths more productive in 2023. (NAN)
