Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo has released a surprise Extended Play (EP) titled Ikigai for his fan’s consumption.
For over a decade, the YBNL boss has been giving his fans and music lovers back-to-back, releasing at least a project every year, with hit records in the projects.
This has earned him a status as one of the Greatest Of All Time (GOATs) in the Nigerian music industry of the modern era.
On Wednesday, 26th of June, 2024, Olamide surprisingly announced a new project on all his social media platforms.
The ‘Eni Duro’ made the surprise announcement of the project hours after making a surprise performance at Davido and Chioma’s wedding.
Ikigai which is a Japanese word that means “reason for being” or “life’s purpose”, is a 7-track project.
Olamide featured YBNL superstars Fireboy and Asake on track 3 ‘Uptown Disco’. He also teamed up with former YBNL associates Pheelz, Young Jonn, and Lil Kesh for track 7 titled ‘Synchro System’.
Ahead of the announcement, Olamide teased a song on his Instagram story which turns out to be ‘Hello Habibi’ which is the track 5 of his new project. READ ALSO:

Olamide’s upcoming project comes as a surprise after the rapper announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account in 2023 that his last album ‘Unruly’ might be his last project.
‘Ikigai’ has been released on all streaming platforms on Thursday, 26th of June, and it became Olamide’s 10th solo project and 15th total project in his discography.
