            Gov Amosun

In furtherance of its resolve to expand its mass transit scheme, Ogun state government has acquired 150 new taxi cabs.

Disclosing this to reporters at an interactive session in Abeokuta on Monday, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ibikunle Amosun on Transportation, Gbenga Opesanwo, said arrangement has been concluded for inauguration of the cabs.

According to him, the set of air conditioned Nissan Saloon cars is the second phase of the mass transit scheme and it’s in fulfillment of the promise made by Governor Amosun while inaugurating 77 buses under the State Mass Transit Scheme.

Opesanwo explained that interested beneficiaries would be drawn from cooperative societies, labour unions and other groups.
