Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, Nasarawa Queens of Lafia, Confluence Queens of Lokoja and Heartland Queens of Owerri have qualified for the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) Super Six.
The four teams gained qualification following completion of Match Week 13 of the 2023/2024 season on Wednesday across various venues, with one Match week to spare in the season.
With two teams left to join the quartet, Group A has already contributed its quota with Nasarawa top of the group with 26 points in 13 games.
The Lafia team is closely followed by Heartland and Confluence Queens, who are second and third on the group with 24 points each in 13 games, with goal difference placing Heartland ahead.
Group B has Rivers Angels who have already qualified with 27 points in 13 games. The race is on between second placed Bayelsa Queens and third placed Edo Queens who are on 22 points each in 13 games.
FC Robo Queens who are fourth in the group also have a chance of qualification with their 19 points in 13 games, if they win their last match of the season and the aforementioned teams lose.
The relegation zone is still quite open with Abia Angels of Umuahia, Naija Ratels of Abuja, and Royal Queens of Warri on 14 points for the first duo and 13 points for the Warri based side, in Group A.
In Group B, Sunshine Queens of Akure and Ekiti Queens will ensure a win in their next game to determine who stays in the league and who gets relegated.

The Akure team has 13 points in 13 points while Ekiti rests bottom on the group at the moment with 11 points in 13 matches.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Match Week 14, which is on April 24, will seal the fate of concerned teams in the league.
A total of 16 teams grouped into two are currently participating in the league. (NAN)
