Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali is set to join Portuguese Primiera Liga club, GD Chaves.
According to reports. Nwakali will put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old.has been allowed to leave Spanish Segunda Division side, Ponferradina following the club’s relegation last season.
The Nigerian scored once and provided four assists in 36 league appearances for Ponferradina last term.
The talented midfielder spent two years at the club.
He shunned offers from top clubs in Spain to move to Portugal.
CD Chaves finished in a respectable seventh position in the Portuguese league last season.
