Chief Operating Officer of the Nationwide League One, Shola Ogunnowo in the company of five chairmen of NLO clubs on Wednesday began an eight business tour of England.
The five club bosses are Mr Kayode Akanji Agboola (Magic Stars FC Lagos State); Mr Ibrahim Dada (Maikunkele FC Minna); Mr Adedeji Oshin (Deluxe FC Jos); Dr Alex Arinze (Okaka FC Lagos) and Mr Adeniyi Ogunleye ( De. Royal Stars FC, Abuja).
Chris Nathaniel, Executive Director of London based NVA Sports & Entertainment Group (NVA SEG) facilitated the business tour for the nation’s third-tier domestic league and the five club chairmen.
Ogunnowo and the five bosses are in England for core football business discussions and possible affiliation with clubs.
The tour starts Wednesday (yesterday) with a trip to MK Dons and on Thursday (today) with Premier League defending champions Manchester City, Sheffield Utd and Peterborough.
The NLO contingent will on Hold a consultative meeting at the head office of NVA Sports & Entertainment Group (NVA SEG).
The NLO Team will get to interface with top experts in football business in the United Kingdom.
By noon the Nigerian contingent will watch two Premier League U21 games involving four top youth teams, Arsenal versus Man City and Chelsea versus Man Utd.
On Saturday the NLO Team will get to watch a live Premiership match and will observe Sunday and Monday as rest days.
Tuesday, is a trip to Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire, where they will get to meet the management of Burton Albion and Mansfield. They will then get to watch a League game.
On day 8, the Team will arrive West Midlands, England on a trip to Coventry City and Birmingham City in the English Championship.
After concluding the tour Ogunnowo and the five NLO club bosses will depart the UK on Thursday, 20th October for Nigeria.
