Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche will serve a three-match ban after he was sent off in the club’s 1-0 defeat to Espanyol last weekend, Prompt News reports.
Uche was sent off on the hour mark for mistakenly stamping on the shin of an Espanyol player.
The 21-year-old was initially shown a red card, but after a VAR review, the referee changed it to a red.
The Nigerian had to be forced off the pitch by his teammates and some Getafe staff after moving towards the referee in an aggressive manner.
He was not listed for the club’s 1-0 home defeat to Real Madrid.
The player will also miss the games against Rayo Vallecano and Valencia.
The former Ceuta star has scored thrice in 30 league appearances for Getafe this season.
