Osinachi Ohale, Super Falcons defender has signed a professional contract with Houston Dash FC, a club in the National women’s soccer league of the United States of America.
The former Delta Queens defender told Super Falcons Media Officer, Gracious Akujobi that she was happy to be playing in a league as strong as the NWSL.
“Firstly, I thank God for His grace and favour because playing in the NWSL was the least thing I expected this year but the offer came on a platter of gold,” she said.
Ohale has already opened her league account as she took part in her club’s first league match of the season which they lost to league defending champions Portland Thorns.
She however said she likes the standard of the league as it will help improve her game and confidence.
The defender will not reveal the details of her contract but however said it was a good one with good salary to go with it, adding that the environment is favourable to her and her team mates have been very good to her.
Asked if she will honour invitation to Super Falcons camp, she replied “I can’t come to camp now because our league just started this April.
“But I will be with the team for the African women championship because our league ends in August”.
