Samuel Chukwueze has been named man of the match in Nigeria’s 2-1 quater-final win against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Alexandria Stadium on Wednesday.
Chukwueze scored the opening goal for the Super Eagles in the 27th minute of the game.
It was the Villarreal ‘ s winger first international goal which came on his second start of the competition.
He was involved in action for the entire 90 minutes of the game.
He is the fourth Nigerian player to pick the award in the competition following in the footsteps of Wilfred Ndidi, Kenneth Omeruo and Odion Ighalo.
