Niger Gov sacks SSG, appoints replacement

MINNA – Niger State governor Abubakar Sani Bello has appointed Ibrahim Isa Ladan as the Secretary to the State Government.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Jibrin Baba Ndace in Minna, Monday, said Ladan replaced Shehu Danyaya was relieved of his post on Monday by the Governor.

The 55-year-old seasoned politician and former Senatorial aspirant for Niger North Senatorial district under the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a former Commissioner representing Niger State in the Federal Character Commission.

Ladan, a turban councilor of Borgu Kingdom had served on the Governor-elect Transition Committee set up by Abubakar Sani Bello to prepare ground for his administration’s inauguration in 2015.

Until his appointment the new Secretary to Niger is the Secretary to the Committee on Redistribution of Appointments to Board and Parastatals.

Gov. Sani Bello urged the new SSG to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his new assignment.

Isa Ladan is happily married with children.
