The Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) on Thursday extended its condolences to the family of late Group Chief Executive Officer(Group CEO )of Access Holdings Plc, Mr Herbert Wigwe.
Mr Olusegun Omosehin, Chairman, NIA, said this in a statement made available in Lagos.

Omosehin said the association is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of the Group CEO who died alongside his wife and son.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Wigwe, his wife, son and Mr Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former Chairman of NGX Group died on Feb.9 in a helicopter crash in Southern California, U.S.
“The association extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Access Holdings Group during this period of grief.
“NIA prays that Almighty God will grant the entire families enough strength to bear the pain of these untimely deaths,” he said.

According to him, late Wigwe was a successful banker, great patriot and an important voice in the financial sector, who made huge contributions to the development of Nigeria’s economy.
Omosehin said the late Group CEO’s passing was truly a loss to the financial sector and the country at large. (NAN)
