Barring anymore changes, the Bronze medal-winning Flamingos will fly into Abuja, the nations capital city by midday on Tuesday, November 1, aboard Ethiopian Airline flight to an airport reception planned by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The team was earlier scheduled to arrive the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja in the wee hours of Wednesday but time difference between Nigeria and India means that the Nigerian delegation will depart Mumbai on Monday enroute Addis Ababa.
The players, coaching crew, backroom staff and a handful of are expected to have left Mumbai and will fly straight to Addis Ababa where they will be on transit for few hours before connecting their flight to Abuja.
The Coach Olowookere Bankole tutored Flamingos did the impossibility in the just concluded FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final in India where they scooped Bronze after edging Germany 3-2 in penalty shoot-out.
The team has joined the Black Maidens of Ghana to win the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2012.
