Nasarawa set to digitalize Government Hospitals

By Mohammed Yangida, Lafia                  Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of has said that government hospitals across the state will soon transit from analogue to digital system in the compilation of patients’ medical records.

The Governor stated on Thursday when he paid an unscheduled visit to Mararaba Gurku Medical Center in Karu Local Government area of the state.

He noted that the state will collaborate with the geographical information services to begin computerization of patients’ medical records in the state hospitals.

Al-makura explained that the idea was to get data of patients computerized for easy access while on hospital visit and also to avoid mutilation of physical records in case of accident.

He maintained that Mararaba Gurku medical centre will now serve as an outreach of for surgeries and other needed services.
